1. About us

This website is operated by Normandy Isles Foundation, Inc. (the "Foundation"), a Florida nonprofit corporation organized under Chapter 617, Florida Statutes, with its principal office at 865 N Shore Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33141. The Foundation is a voluntary, independent, nonpartisan community organization serving Normandy Shores and the Isle of Normandy. It does not replace and has no authority over any homeowners' or neighborhood association.

2. Our purpose

The Foundation works to improve the quality of life, safety, beauty and property values of the area by funding and organizing beautification, safety and community projects, partnering with the City of Miami Beach, informing residents, organizing events and volunteer efforts, and raising and managing funds for these purposes. By using this site you agree to these terms.

3. Submitting ideas and photos

  • Ideas, descriptions, names and photos you submit are shown publicly on the idea board.
  • Only submit content you own or have permission to share. Do not post images of people without their consent, or anything unlawful, hateful, misleading or commercial.
  • You grant the Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, edit and share your submission to promote and carry out community projects.
  • The Foundation may edit, decline or remove any submission at its discretion.

4. Upvotes and selection

Upvotes help the Foundation understand community priorities, but they are advisory only. The Board of Directors decides which ideas are opened for funding, the funding goal and the deadline. Committees advise but cannot spend money or speak for the Foundation without Board approval.

5. Contributions

  • Contributions are voluntary gifts to the Foundation and are generally non-refundable, except for processing errors reported within 30 days.
  • All funds are held in accounts in the Foundation's name and are never mixed with personal accounts. Payments over set limits require approval by two officers, and larger spending requires a Board vote.
  • The Foundation will use contributions for the initiative you chose. If an initiative is cancelled, cannot be completed, or raises more than needed, the Board may direct the funds to a similar community purpose in the area.
  • No income or assets of the Foundation may benefit any director, officer or member personally. Directors serve without pay.

6. Donation confirmations

Every contributor receives a donation confirmation from the Foundation listing the amount and date of the gift. Your donation directly supports Normandy Isles community projects.

7. Nonpartisanship

The Foundation does not endorse or oppose candidates for public office. Only the President, or someone the Board authorizes, may speak publicly for the Foundation.

8. Disclaimers and liability

This site is provided "as is." Project timelines and outcomes depend on volunteers, vendors and the City and are not guaranteed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Foundation and its volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with venue in Miami-Dade County.
